Hi! I’m a Carnegie-Princeton and Flatiron CCA Postdoctoral Fellow currently at Princeton. I recently obtained my PhD in Astronomy & Astrophysics and MA in the History of Science from Harvard. I’m broadly interested in how feedback from stars and accreting supermassive black holes shapes the lives of galaxies, using state-of-the-art multi-wavelength observations (X-ray through sub-mm), and cosmological simulations. I’m particularly focused on improving how black hole feeding and feedback are modeled in cosmological simulations, given that this small-scale process can have such a large-scale impact on galaxies. This framing also works well for my history of science archival and ethnographic research, where the often-overlooked stories of marginalized communities can reshape our broader understanding of scientific progress. Check out my research page to learn more about my work!
If I may toot my own horn, I’ve been told I give fun talks with very pretty visuals. Feel free to e-mail me to stop by your department if you’re in the New England area!
